Birch Growth Environment
Growing in the northern hemisphere, birch is one of the earliest trees formed after the retreat of the glacier. Cold-tolerant, fast-growing, more immune to pests and diseases, used for reforestation, control of soil erosion, protective cover or conservation of trees.
There are about 100 species of this genus, mainly distributed in the north temperate zone, and a few species are distributed in the Arctic region. There are 29 species and 6 varieties in China. It is distributed throughout the country.
